It's great. You'll get the best graphics out of that one. :)

I wouldn't recommend getting a Maxtor HD. It seems as though there's always problems with them.

Yea, good setup, but i would recomend getting another Gig of RAM, as BF2 is very very greedy with its RAM usage, to play on high graphics you will want it, it will also help with loading times. You might also want to look for s SATA connection instead of a ATA.

unlucky you had to change. It's still pretty nice.
I would suggest a 6800gt though. Not only will it perform better, but it leaves you with the option of having it in SLi in the future.

I have a 256mb 6800 vanilla, P4 3Ghz, 2Gb ram. i can run the game on all high, 4x AA on 1024x768 and get a solid 40-60+fps, except for during arty. But the GT leave the door to SLi open.

You'll be very happy with that rig and I've used Maxtor HD's for years and never once had an issue with any of them. Maybe I'm lucking, but I'm talking about 15+ HD's. Good Luck and have fun.

Thank god u decided against the Vento. Have you even seen the reviews of it? Would have looked pretty tight, but it has some of the worst cooling out there.

                      And ditch the 6800.

You can get a Sapphire X800GTO^2

This is basically an X850XT in disguise...because it already is completely unlocked..plus it overclocks really well. So an X850XT for like $200 .

He's going for an SLi mobo dude, i really think a 6800GT would just make more sense. It may be that little extra but it will save money in the long run when upgrading your graphics.

Then save some money and get a MSI Neo4 Platinum (like I own)

                              Don't get the ATI.
Nvidia has latest shader models and BF2 is optimized for it :)
