    What shall I do??

    Hey.
Hello guys/gals!!! Ok I play Battlefield2 and bought a new computer last month..so I can play BF2! ok heres the specs that I know of.
    "ATI Xpress 128mb series 200
    "AMD Athlon 64 3.200ghzz 3Dnow-2.0ghz
    "PC3200 RAM-512mb........
well thats all I know about it....erm..the main reason iam posting this is because I can bearly play BF2! iam told that I have a better computer than a few of my friends and they cannot beleave how slow it is...
I put the BF2 settings to LOW...everything is as low as it can get...the Direct3D and OpenGL settings are all on balanced.
ok now iam gonna think about putting my old Graphics card in because I know the ATI card is not supported by BF2 and my Nvidia card is......
    its a Nvidia GeForce FX 5700 overclocked 256mb AGP,DDR 8X:)
iam also getting a 1gig ram chip on Saturday and I will put my card in then:) so I wll have 1.5ghz of ram which I know is good! but should I swap????and would it be able to replace a PCI card?
    thx for any help

Dude...your graphics card is hooooorible. You need to put in a new one (at least a 6600GT) and the game will run great on your system (as long as you have 1GB of RAM as well) :)

Your main problem is your graphics card. The X200 is a "PCI-Express" video card. Your best bet is to upgrade this first. As Snake101 suggested get atleast an Nvidida 6600GT/ATI X600XT or above.

Your second issue is RAM. 512 is simply not enough anymore. Back in the day games ran good with that. Today 1GB is pretty much the standard. Although for BF2 2GB would give you silky smooth gameplay (coupled with the video card I mentioned). If you have any questions feel free to PM me or talk to me online. I will get back to you as soon as I can with answers to your questions.

personally i would go for the 7800 they are the best card around! however they are still a bit pricy, and the 6800 is still an excellent card for today, and about £150 cheaper than the 7800. Also just a little lesson for you the RAM Capacity is measured in gigabyte's (GB's) and the speed or frequency of RAM is measured in the Hhz. so will be 1.5Gb's of DDR 400mhz memory.

You won't be able to swap cards.
You now have PCI-e, welcome to the future.
Your 5700 still has life in it but is AGP 8x and wouldn't fit in your new computer.

                      Just a question..

Why didn't you do your research before blowing money on a bunch of crap that can barely run the game?

                      Juss' askin' is all.
