How much lower did your temps go compared to your last HS? Also, what thermal grease did you put, AS5? You didn't want the 7700(all copper)? It's a pretty good HS, but for OC'ing, I would've gotten a XP-90c. Also consider you circulation in your case. Does it provide good airflow?

I got that one and it reduced my temps by about 3-4 degrees celsius. Plus I have to keep my intake air filter cleaned out. That will start the temps rising as well. I used the artic silver paste, whatever version they had at Fryes.

Zalman are great fans, I have a CNPS 7000A-Cu all cooper on my XP3000 and it's awesome.

Zalman is a quality manufacturer and a 9deg drop in temp is substantial. Sounds like you made the right choice.

I have an ArticCooling Freezer7 on my P4 and was disappointed with it. It dropped my temps, but not enough to justify spending almost $60 on it.
