Considering a 7800GTX outpaces all current CPU's I suppose that's subjective to the value of the individual. Certainly most of us can't afford an FX, however for those that can it is DEFINITELY worth it to OC.

Or, you could just blow everything and get a X2 4800+ and hope to god that newer games will start to support multiple cores. Like I did.
