    Motherboard Help

    I need a new motherboard as my old one is screwed. I don't know much about so would some one be able to point out a good one from www.aria.co.uk www.scan.co.uk or another uk site.

    I have a
    AMD AthlonXP 3000+ (400 FSB)
    2x 512mb PC3200 DDR SDRAM (DDR 400)
    ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb AGP
    Creative Soundblaster Audigy ZS PCI
    Maxtor 160Gb IDE HD
    420W power supply
    IDE DVD/CD writer and DVD Rewriter

    How is is "screwed". Have you tried clearing the CMOS to reset the board?

      I am going to second guess your "screwed" MB as well. What's the problem with it?

      Nevermind. If I were you, MSI K7N2 Delta2-LSR. I've owned this board, it is the best value IMHO for Socket A.

      EDIT: There's only one left on your first prefered vendor, so if you want to stick with socket A you better hop on it.

        BTW - I personally wouldn't invest any more money in socket A. Save up and get s939 and PCI-e.

          Yes i agree your better off gettin a S939 and a PCI-e
