    Re: Northchip cooling

IMO it's unneccessary. Even watercooling the NB is really a waste.

If working normaly it shouldn't even come close to burning up....Even if overclocking...

cuz i tough the heatsink and it burning, but i have that big zelman heatsink and fan blowin air everywhere, and thinking of getting a new case anyways, with better airflow, like that giant thermaltake armor case

Yeah get a new case, with my old case every heatsink I felt was burning up.

i just got the CNPS7700 and it dosnt go over 40c when playing, and i guess more space will make better cooling cuz its all bunched in there, the case i want is $130 :/

A bigger case is great, as well as tidying up your cables to help the airflow. My case has a filter inside the front panel to filter the incoming air and if it gets clogged my temps go up. I clean it every 4 months or so and it makes a 3-4 degree (celsius) difference. I've read where people didn't realize there was a filter in their case and so didn't realize why their temps were out of control.

i got round cables and everything, i cut the mesh metal that a fan came with to 2 x 1 on both sides of the front panel, and still not enough for the fans to suck in air im gettin

That should be a big improvement for you. I have an Antec the same size and it is just wonderful.

I think it is a 105G? I'm at work and not sure. It didn't come with a power supply. It was my first ever build and had lots of room. I'm building my wife one this Xmas but she doesn't need the clear window so I'm using a different Antec case for hers.
