    keyboard power/sleep/wake

the location of these buttons will be a problem on my new keyboard, and i want to disable them. So that if my finger slips and i press the power button, it wont shut down all my programs and turn off.

Before i pull off the buttons or something, is there a way to disable those buttons so that they do nothing when i press them?

    LOL

Now how are we supposed to know what keyboard and drivers you are using? Ok, seriously, most will have a driver setting to either disable or reassign the button assignments. Some even allow for one button access to disable these so called features.

In Windows, go to Control Panel -> Power Options -> Advanced Tab.

Try changing those "When I press the power/sleep button on my computer" options to "Do Nothing" and see how you go.
