New computer creation.

I need advice on what to use in a new build. Going to use the same basics as old one ( same mouse, monitor, keyboard and such )
Comp now.
AMD Athlon XP 2500+ 1.84 GHz
1.00 GB of DDR-SDRAM
GeForce FX 5200 ( ouch )

Want to build a new comp but Im no positive if all the parts are compatitable. Any help? Heres what I got so far...

Looks to be a good system, but I would try to get some better quality RAM. The value select is good if you are on a budget, but I'm kicking myself for getting the VS instead of some higher performance RAM. Check these out, this is what I want to get when I get some money:

It's definitely worth the extra 50 dollars.

Everything else is pretty sweet.

Yeah. I was looking at them earleir. Thanks. I just picked the same RAM this one has. Wasn't really sure on that part.

good CPU and Mobo- they are compatiable so thats good

Bad case- get aliminum its cheaper and looks nicer
Bad Ram- go with Kingston or Crucial ram nice good quality and try there site for good prices
Bad HD- go with more gb and try the maxtor 250-300 with 16mb cache. with that cache size its like a 10000 rpm drive

You dont need a huge hard drive, I only have an 80 gig and I've only used 8 GBs, you just gotta keep it clean.

Hm. Ok. I might look into more room but I don't use much for the most part. But then again if it turns out nice I'll end up with more games on it. Case and power supply was always a issue with me... Cause its seems to be always a nice case with bad power supply. Just buy em seperate I guess. Better. It'll be a while before I actually get it together though. Just needed a outline of it.
