What do you consider a '' high end '' pc?

1 gig of ram
3.0 ghz or higher
6600 or higher?

maybe thats just a wwaayy high end pc?

Are we talking about a hight end gaming PC, or just a High end PC. IMO what you stated is a highend PC, but not a high end gaming PC.

Lol nope. Thats a mid range PC and in a few more months will be lower end. AMD San Diego 3800+, 2-3 gigs of ram, 2 x 6800GT ultra 256mb cards in SLI, 2 x raptor hd's in raid config, water cooling system for stupid overclocking, 5.1 surround system, 21 inch flat panel monitor, and go faster stripes down the side.

THATS a high spec PC and a price tag of about £1500 to £2000 :O

Or Xbox 360. Or just give up and have a Nintendo DS like me

Good question, and I agree with you. I have a P4 @ 3.4Ghz/1Gig PC4300DDr2/Nvidia 6600GTPci-e and I get 70-120FPS on BF2(settings not all on High). I have no complaints, but If I wanted all the eye candy I would probably need the 7800, and another Gig of Ram to get the same FPS as I do now. I'm not a T3chy, so I don't know for sure if what I stated is true , but it makes sense.

tbh, you can chase the hardware all your life and never catch up.

and it ain't getting upgraded for a loooong time

Im getting a computer with these stats:

Pentium® D Processor 830 with Dual Core Technology (3.0GHz, 800FSB)
2GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz- 4 DIMMs
256MB PCI Express™ x16 (DVI/VGA/TV-out) nVidia GeForce 6800

What are the highest settings i can run at and still get 60fps on average?

Ok, my opinion is high end pc for play BF2,so here goes:
CPU: 2.8ghz P4, or 2800+ or more
Memory: 1GB at least, 2GB reccomended
Hard Drive: doesn't matter, as long as it's 7200rpm
Sound Card: probably Audigy 2 series or better
Video Card: 6800GT, or X800XL or better to run max settings

THat's the basics, the rest don't matter too much.

IF you have a 6600 it aint high end. You would need a 7800 to be high end.

Right now I am rocking: AMD64 3700+, 2GB OCZ Platinum, X800XT PE, Audigy2 ZS Platinum.
