You're already lucky to get it to 2.5, i can get mine to only 2.25, because i only got a MSI Nforce 4 (non ultra or SLi) mobo, which doesn't let my multiplyer for FSB speed go any higher than 10x. Plus, the guys who got to 2.9ghz that i have seen, they all used water cooling. You might wanna at least get a thermalright XP-90, or a Zalman, or a Arctic Silver 5 before overclocking more.

That has to do with the CPU not the MOBO. All AMD CPUs are locked like this except for the FX series.

13hrs on the stress test lol, it stays max at 45c, system stayed at 22c, and i jus t stopped the test and the cpu dropped to 27c
