Re: Intake Fan
If you want a good performing fan you will have to pay for it in noise. My old Thermaltake 80mm fan could shift 60cfm of air but it was very very loud.
Depends on how loud you want it to be. I just fitted 3 Akasa AmberUltra quiet fans and they are pretty good and shift decent amount of air. Have you got space for a 120mm fan? The bigger the fan, the more air it shifts and are usually quieter. -

Re: Intake Fan
either
This Evercool aluminum case fan comes in a retail package with 4 fan screws and a 4 pin pass through power connector. The fins are chrome finished, and the architecture of the fan is fully aluminum. The feel of the fan is very industrial, and Evercool has an industry name for producing the best ball bearing fans on the market. <div class="fantbltop"></div> <table class="casetblbrd" width="558px" align="left" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="3"> <tr> <td class="casetblgry">Dimensions:</td> <td class="casetbl">120 x 120 x 25mm</td> <td class="casetblgry">Air Flow:</td> <td class="casetbl">79 CFM</td> </tr> <tr> <td class="casetblgry">Speed:</td> <td class="casetbl">2000 RPM</td> <td class="casetblgry">Noise:</td> <td class="casetbl">36 dBA</td> </tr> <tr> <td class="casetblgry">Power:</td> <td class="casetbl">3.36W</td> <td class="casetblgry">Current:</td> <td class="casetbl">0.28a</td> </tr> </table> <div class="casetblbtm"></div> <strong>Specifications:</strong> <ul> <li>Dimension: 120 x 120 x 25mm</li> <li>Air Flow: 79 CFM</li> <li>Speed: 2000 RPM</li> <li>Noise: 36 dBA</li> <li>Voltage: 12 VDC</li> <li>Current: 0.28a</li> <li>Power: 3.36 W</li> </ul>

Re: Intake Fan
Has the front of your case got a perforated front panel for the intake fans? Most low/mid range cases have a poorly designed front panel that really hinder fans performance by starving them of air. My case is an example of that with only a cut of a few inches underneath the front panel to suck air through. Even the pre drilled holes in the steel of the fan mounts restrict air flow. Im thinking of cutting mine out.Comment
