hi if i buy a 5400 rpm hard drive will it make a huge differnece from a 7200 RPM if it will make a differnce like what kind of difference?

What the other two said. It will be noticably slower in every field. Even if a 5400rpm is cheaper, the 7200rpm drive is the way to go. They boosted those RPMs for a good reason.

so it will slow down my game the only reason i would be getting this is cuz my 40 gig is too small for anything.

Yes, it will slow the games loading times and increase in-game pauses and freezing while the pagefile is being accessed by the system. However, it will work; just not as fast as would a 7200 RPM drive.

You said it! 7200 is so last year now aswell because over 10k RPM is out now
