Hey, I'm thinking about getting a new computer with these specs:
AMD Athlon 64 3400+
200 GB HD
2 GB DDR SDRAM PC3200
Comes with ATI Radeon Xpress 200 (Upgrading to Radeon X700 256mb RAM)
Windows XP Media Center 2005
Just wondering how well this will play bf2.

Dunno about all on High with the x700, but it will run it very well thats for sure.

get a 7800GTX, or 6800gt, or x850xl

Yeah, the x700 will hold you back slightly. You should be able to play high with low res or a higher resolution and mediums.
