hey i was wondering would it be possible to like add a new mobo to my crappy ass gateway 3200s? just wondering? Or can you even do that i have no idea?

And as long as Gateway doesn't/didn't use a proprietary power supply (rewired ATX connector, Dell and HP are famous for this). If it is a proprietary PSU, then you can't use any motherboard but one from Gateway, or find an adapter for the ATX connector (or get a new PSU).
One other thing, if you don't have one already, you will have to get a new Windows CD (assuimg your computer came with recovery cd's and not a real Windows cd).Comment

Speaking of the power supplies, the name brand computers generally come with REALLY ****ty ones. I did, but then i replaced the case, and everything else but cpu and hard drive. That way i wouldnt have to get new win xp. You will however have to call microsoft to reactivate your version, its considered a major hardware change. Eventually new hard drive and software.Comment
