You should be getting better fps than that no doubt. Has anyone noticed different fps rates on different servers? Does that even make sense? I've gotten 60 on some and 80's on others....kinda screwy

Funny i never had a virus when i bought a computer. I would of took it back and told them to wipe it clean or ill buy another one. I would of raised hell with the place where he bought the computer.

I doubt it was viruses, probably adware/spyware from all that yahoo, aol, msn crap they put on those store bought machines. My cousin's buying a laptop and I want him to ask for it with a Windows XP disk and formatted HD.

Its possible. You need to make sure that you unplug the modem from the power source and the cable from modem for at least 15 minutes. I have seen viruses transfer over very easily if you don't take care of the modem thing first! This happened to me on a brand new system that I bought and built myself. I learned the hard way.

As to the orginal poster. I have similar system you do.

          My system specs below:

          AMD 3800+
Corsair XMS 2 gigs (2 sticks)
          Asus Sli Deluxe
          Geforce 6800 GT
          Audigy 2 ZS

I have setting maxed out on High all the way i get an average of 60-80 fps Which is very playable. Do you have your AA X4 on? I really don't see a big difference so if you do have it up you might try taking it off.

I get 90+ FPS, and 67FPS minimum in flight or in a combat situation =/
You don't get 90+ constant I garauntee it. Unless you mean 90+ while flying jets.

26.1 is the number on the right...usually for me the higher that number is the lower FPS I get. I believe that number is CPU usage, but many people will tell me it's not. I said I BELIEVE it is. Close alot of your programs. I only have 15 processes running when I have BF2/Fraps/Teamspeak running. Without those 3 I only have 11 processes running on my computer at all times. The number on the right for me usually stays around 10-15.

Dude i know you probably wont want to do this but just for a test try putting audio to software and on medium and see if that improved fps. Lots of people told me it fixed probs they were having, dunno why but bf2 is tad buggy with audio

I love my sound. its kind of like wasting money on my AUDIGY 2 ZS.

Its playable, i guess when newer games come out ill start moaning then. BTW, BF2 is the only game i played on my computer right now. Might be a problem their end.

Re: High end system goes down to 49fps?

I got my GTX 3 days ago, and I'm having the same problems you are. My FPS drops down to 28 sometimes, and it's kinda rediculous because that barely ever happened with my 6800 Ultra. I know for a fact I'm being bottlenecked somewhere though, because whenever I turn settings on all low my FPS doesn't increase.

Well for your its your processor. But your 3dmark suggest otherwise.

I got 8400 in 3dmark05, thats about what people expect. Heck, i got the same as M3NACES computer. So i think its the game thats faulty. We will find out in time.
