Upgrade help (with extra question)

I dont know if I should upgrade my motherboard so I can get PCI-E but i really dont know eactly what I should Upgrade. . My specs are right here though now I have upgraded my RAM to 1 gig and my graphics card to a visiontek 9250 a while ago (this is my biggest concern of upgrading):http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/d...name=c00060939. Anyway, my budget is around $200 so tell me where the parts are cheapest.

The extra question is:
Does anyone know of any good computer shows (expos, fairs, whatever) here in L.A. at the moment so I could look for parts there?

Well, here is the question. Do you an AGP slot, or PCI? (note: PCI and PCI-Express are two totally different things!)

I shouldnt be answering you because I gave you my complete specs but... I have 1 AGP slot and 3 PCI slots. Next time look at the site.

I didn't realise the link was to a specs sheet, I appologize.

I would recommend getting a 6600GT or X800XL. Both should be under $200 and should give you a significant boost in performance.

well upgrading a mobo is only neccesary if you intend upgrading to something like a 7800GTX but then all sorts of problems come with doing that in that pc E.G. PSU most likely needs upgrading!!!

If you cant find a 6800GT or X800XL under 200 then look for X800 256MB or 6800 256MB. As a last resort 6600GT.
