Someone in the review said it's great for this X2 card. But in the description it doesn't specifically say it supports dual Core X2 processors. Whats the deal?

Well the 3800 X2 just went out of stock when I was about to buy it. Now I think I'm going to go ahead and get a Venice 3500+. Is the 512kb cache going to be a problem?

3500+ is a good processor. Go for the clawhammer core or whatever it is called though.

I thought the Venice ran cooler and was easier to overclock? I am clueless either way.

I would avoid that mobo if I were you. Go with a Nforce chipset. Ecpecially if you plan on overclocking.

3500+ is a good processor. Go for the clawhammer core or whatever it is called though.

Venice is better than clawhammer.

I don't know if I'll overclock, probably not. Every game I have (HL2, Live for speed, Farcry) except BF2 runs at 50+fps on full high settings. I want this board because I want to be able to keep the CPU and mobo setup during my switch to PCI-e sometime next year. I am just looking for a little spike in fps and stability for BF2. I believe this will do the trick... (switching from a 2ghz prescott to a 3500)!

I still wouldn't go with that MOBO, good PCI-e mobos can be had for about $80, to me saving $80 now isn't worth the possible headaches now and down the road.

You don't understand, I have an AGP 6800GT, not going to buy another card now, but don't wanna have to buy another mobo when I get a new card later. Not worth it to me.

There were no major complaints with the mobo everywhere I have checked.

the venice is the newest and best core out it works better under OC and is for some reason quicker, the 3500 has done fine for me i highly recommend it!!!

There is a nForce 3 Ultra chipset that supports AGP. Its hard to find though and I did find it, though at a local supplier. VIA isnt bad if you know what your doing and you don't OC.

I thought X2s required a nVidia chipset O_O?
