    Airplane graphics problem

I can play BF2 till the horses come home with absolutely NO graphics problems. However, after using a jet fighter for about 15-20 minutes, the graphics go haywire. I have set everything to low and it still happens.

I would be glad for any suggestions.

Admittedly my computer is not the best in the world:

    AMD XP 2200+
    1 Gig RAM
    GeForce 5600 Ultra Video Card
    Using 78.01 NVIDIA graphics drivers

it could be your video card overheating

I have a temperature monitor. What temperature do you think is too high? My GPU core temp is 49C and Ambient is 39C.

            Perhaps video driver issues?

              Re: Airplane graphics problem

I've tried with both the 77.77 and 78.01 drivers. They both seem to be giving me the same problems.

Did you clean the old drivers out before installing the new ones? A simple uninstall is not enough because there are fragments of the driver that are left over even after an uninstall. These can cause conflicts with the new drivers.

Thanks. Is there an easy way to do this? What's the process?

                        Re: Airplane graphics problem

I have reinstalled the drivers for the video card. It worked for about 30 minutes this time then graphics problems again.

It seems to work fine in singleplayer, but in all honesty I think it may be a heat issue.

Is there a known heat issue with the Geforce FX 5600 Ultra or similar cards?

                        Thanks for all your help.
