my comp is says that for my mem, when i have DDR400, is that normal?

Normal? Welll....try going into the BIOS and forcing it up to 400 speeds. Which would be 200mhz. -

i went in, and it was at 200, so i put it at 400 and it gave me a disk read error, so i put it to 333 and it workedComment

200mhz is DDR400 166mhz is ddr333 etc. Make sure you're not OCing the RAM accidently. Sounds like you may have a psu issue. The BIOS is underclocking components to ensure stability because you're not getting enough power. What's the Amp rating on 12v? If it's 13A you should upgrade. With what I see, aslong as you don't have more than 2 case fans, no lights, and 1 HD and CDdrive you should be alright with 18A.Comment

i have the new antec smartpower 2.0 500w...oo so 200mhz is already DDR400? even thought at start up it gives me a smaller number? so 333mhz is OC the mem?Comment

Well, in the BIOS when you set the clock manually usually you get settings in Mhz. DDR is dual rate so 200=PC3200 or DDR400 and 133mhz=PC2700 or DDR266. IF you're getting a message specifically stating DDRXXX then it should be 400 if you're using PC3200 memory. The PSU is definitely a good one. Actually we pretty much the same mobo. Go into the BIOS and set the memory manually, then make the clock speed 200mhz. That should take care of it, also what BIOS version are you running?Comment
