A friend of mine is getting a 6200 and he is wondering what settings the 6200 should play o.

I have a 6600GT he envies me.

He could play with some on medium, I used to be running a Go5700 and had 4xAA all low but geometries and terrain at medium and still playable.

All low, no AA, no lighting or shadows at 1024x768 and he'll get good fps aslong as the rest of the rig is up to par.

That 6200 is that weak? I remember working with a friends system and we did get some settings to medium.

Make your friend get a 6600GT like you; it can't be that more expansive, right?

Some 6200s can be flashed to a 6600 AFAIK. Not a 6600GT though... he should look into that if moneys an issue.

You're kidding! I just bought a 6200 for $320 (Australian), and the guy at the shop told me it was top of the line. Oh that angers me, so I'm going to have to play it in a **** quality?

Sorry, but it's far from top of the line. It'll be playable just at low settings, when I say playable I mean over 60fps. Rule #1 don't ever listen to salesmen! Do your research on the net first then make an informed purchase, or ask another customer.

You people might want to read the part where it says 'Australian'. Still, 320 AUS = around 250 USD. Complete ripoff! You could've bought a 6800 NU for that much and still saved a bit! That card's (6200) worth around 100 USD!

*jaw drop* for that much in USD...a 6800 NU...heck if you got 50 more USD a 6800 GT! Wow...that sucks man.
