  • Sound card

So I'm looking at buying a sound card, not willing to go crazy and spend $500.

At the moment I'm looking at this one:

What do you guys think? Will a sound card really improve things for me? Is it worth the money?

Wow, I'm glad I posted that question. You are saving me LOTS of money! Thanks.

Although those only ship to US and Canada...I'm in Australia...

You could always have someone ship it to you if you have any freinds in the states/canada.

I mean internet freinds, not real freinds. Hell, as long as you pay all the shipping I'd do it.

It'd probably work out cheaper to buy it here. Thanks for the help anyway.

So would that "Creative Audigy 2 Value Sound Card" make a huge difference?

Is a short way of saying "software modification" to upgrade the hardware to something more than it was designed to do, with some software programing, making it a better peace of kit, with no extra $ £ outlay.
                    Lots of info from Google!

                      Ahhhh, well that makes sense.
Soft modding sounds like my kind of gig.

Sound is only as good as the outlets will allow it to be (headphones speakers ETC)
But it will relieve some stress on your CPU if you disable in Bios your on board sound.

If you have decent speakers or headphones it will make a vast difference if used properly with all the updated drivers and software.

                          I have good speakers...Logitech ones.

Also if I'm using a music creating program like FruityLoops it'll probably help that aswell wouldn't it?
