I See The Light!! :) ( Upgrade Info Ram)
Hi guys this is just to let you all know something just incase you are hesitating to buy some more ram. Heres my story.
SPECS
- AMD Athlon XP 2.16 mhz
- 1.5 g dd ram 400 mhz
- 256 mb radeon 9600
I had this machine and was playing with the 512 mb ram. So i kept on seeing on the forums "RAM WILL HELP!!" i couldnt believe it, i did not want to try to buy more ram many people on many forums were saying change your video card.
Seeing as i just bought my video card not that long ago TO PLAY PRINCE OF PERSIA.... i was upset and did not wanna upgrade my video card just yet
I was playing everything low ( WHICH LOOKS LIKE POOP BY THE WAY )
and i was lagging when there were to many players in the game.
so i stuck it out with 16 player server so i could basically get around.
Finally i decided to get some more ram. I got fet up.
This is the best part.....
I installed the ram booted my comp up.. waited saw no differnce in windows. GOT
. Loaded up BF, joined a server. What i saw amazed me.. from about a minute of load time i went down to like 30 secs..
Went in the game Graphics were on low.. WAS was a bit quicker but nothing big. So i got upset and left my comp.:cry:
Then it hit me
( I was thinking how dumb can i be ) i went back to my computer put settings on medium.
Loaded the game up i was excited, it lagged for the first 30 sec of gameplay. THEN NO LAG!! MY FRAMES WERE CONSTANT
I could'nt believe it. WHAT A DIFFERENCE IN GRAPHICS FROM LOW JUST TO MEDIUM.. next i gotta try HIGH but right now im at work.!!!
SO For all of you out there who are hesitating in getting another gig of ram. DONT GO OUT THERE GET THAT RAM PUT IT IN YOUR COMPUTER AND LAUGH
I CANT WAIT TO GET OFF WORK JUST SO I COULD SEE THE BEUTIFUL RIPPLE AFFECTS AGAIN!!!
