    Probably, but the reality is ATI has a serious problem with paper launches, and then very limited supply there after.

          YES, they finally mounted a nice aftermarket cooler stock. It's a new Artic Silencer ATi, i'm guessing, that'll cool the card down faster than any other ingenious (sarcastic) cooling solutions ATi has made.

                Yeah they are is far is i can see.

                X1800xt i beleive it will be called.

                R520 = 16 pipes.
                R520 = 24 pipes will perform the same or mybe faster then the 7800GTX.
                R520 = 32 pipes will crush Nvidea.

                Woot Woot. Im holding out for the 32 pipe version.....PCI express.
                but the actual relise date of it is way up in the air.
                O well, gives me time to put more coin together since it will cost a crapload.

                Im just hoping the 32 pipe will have a 512mb version.
                That would be sooo0000 Awsome!

                  Idc about the 512 mb of video ram, but I want the 32 pipes

                  I'm getting 500 dollars very soon (within the week) and I was going to buy a 7800GTX, but now I don't know if I should or if I should wait until the R520 32 pipes comes out.

                  Anybody have any idea when it is supposedly comin?

                    Re: these r520 pics genuine?

                    Well, 32 pipes with those extremely high clock speed would be about 700 bucks a piece. Even the LE beats 7800GTX unless they make it have less pipes.

                      Re: these r520 pics genuine?

                      hmm will the r520 be strictly with a PCI-E slot or will agp be included? Probably not since PCI-Express is the new thing.

                        Re: these r520 pics genuine?

                        Yes, the top model like the GTX will have 32 pipelines. However all the lower models will have 24 and 16 pipelines respectively. I will most likely get an R520XT PE Crossfire for my master, and have my X850XT PE as my slave.....can you say whopass?

                          Price doesn't matter, because I highly doubt they will price a vid card over 700, and I've already got 550 the extra 150 would be nothin. I need a date tho, or I'm gonna go ahead and get the GTX.

                            They have already said the 32 pipe card will be in very, very limited quantities, and may not be released at all. It appears the card that will go head, to head with the GTX is going to be a 16 pipe card.

                              Re: these r520 pics genuine?

                              i heard that the 32 pipes would be saved for the equivelent of the x850 which will be released early 2006

                              also i think they might stick with 16 pipes other than there top end card which will probably come with 24 and the platinuim edition version but crank those clocks up using 90nm as the review suggests

                              the card they are looking at looks like a 256mb version to me and its identical in size to the 7800gtx

                              mid october it suggests for the realease
