How long does it usaly take

To keep this short, i needed a new computer so i bought parts (acualy a barebone kit) from tigerdirect.com on the last sundady in August.

I know that they are having some problems and they will take afew days longer to ship it; but its been 10 days and one out of the 12 items have been shipped (which i havnt got yet) and one other is in "process"

Its been like that for about 5 days, and its starting to bother me.

I guess my question is how long did it take for you guys if u bought it from newegg or something? I really dont want to wait 2 weeks for each item.

P.S I didnt buy from newegg because they dont ship to Canada and tigerdirect is in Canada

Why don't you just call or email them? to bad newegg does not ship to Canada I kind of know how you feel, one time I had no clue what was going on with my x800xl and I found out that UPS shipped it to the wrong house!! :laugh:

I've had good luck with NCIX and RB Computing..I've never used TigerDirect.

Well i just tryed calling them and had to wait 20mins on hold only to give up in the end. I just e-mailed them and from how long it took them when calling i dont expect a responce for a long time.

Heres my e-mail if anyone wants to read it

My order is taking an extremely long time to process and to ship. At the rate its going at now, it takes about 2 weeks to be processed, shipped and get here for each item (still haven’t received my first shipment). It will take 5-6 months before i have everything at this rate.

I am hoping that its just that the "tracking your order" page isn't updating properly, because I really dont want to have to wait untill march before i can put together my computer.

I expected better from the testimonials i have read.

Use shipping warehouses. I'll dig a few up for you but basically UPS delivers to the warehouses that are usually on the border and then they use their own courier service that will then deliver it to you. They are hard to find nowadays because in 1992 most of the US-Canadian ones were shut down because they were discovered to be drug running centers. I think one of those obscure delivery services like DHL actually runs one now. Also you can make a pen-pal friend in the US or something and then have him ship stuff to you. Just my 45 cents and a piece of pocket lint.

Sounds like i would have to pay 2x the shipping.

But good news, after i replyed the door bell rang and it was UPS. I now have my case, 11 more items to go...

I used to order from TigerDirect.com, but then I discovered NewEgg.com

Also, NewEgg just added UPS shipping, so they may ship to Canada now. Just a thought.

I've used both Tiger and Newegg and although Newegg is faster with standard shipping because they're closer to me, I've never had an issue with either. Tiger has always delivered in a very timely manner. Sorry about your troubles.

You can always call and cancel all "un-shipped" items. If you have too, go to the bank and cancel your card, and get a temporary, Then order from another site, and pay the 2 day shipping. It is worth it. Threatening phone calls and the loss of business makes people want you off their back, call them evry hour if you can. It sounds cheap and petty, but it will get you your stuff. BE AGGRESIVE! Remember, the guy on the other end doesn't care about you or your order, make it HIS business to get it done.
