NEW FREE FAN: Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe

Anyone with an Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe mobo should call Asus for a new chipset fan that is much better than the original. The chipset fan is known to go bad on these mobos so Asus has designed a new one. All I did was call Asus and tell them that I had this mobo and that the chipset fan went bad but the bios warned me so I know the board wasnt damaged and they sent me the new fan in a week.

If you have this mobo I would get this fan just in case yours does go bad.

Yes, I have read this. Over all the board is good, but I have read that the chipset fan has a tendency to go bad. Asus will definately replace it if you call. You probably won't need to pay anything (not even shipping).

However, if you recently purchased the board, it may have the new fan on it already. You have to ask about the version number of the board.

I assume this only applies to the SLI model not the A8N-E's correct?

That is correct. Although you can always call I am sure they would be able to tell you. As far as I know, it is only the AN8-SLi series.
