Why you want/need a good Vcard..

Hey hey,

So I just installed my new ATI X800xt...and besides the beauty of running everything on high with AAx4 and having 50+-fps...I noticed...my shooting has improved dramtically. It's as if all my weapons have been upgraded.

I know the idea is intuitive; the better card, more the frames, the easier to track a target....

I just wonder if all the whining about how crappy the weapons are, is a result of poor framerates...

example, I was on Operation crappy map..and I was on one hill and noticed a little man running on the next hill...nomally I wouldn't be able to hit him...this time...he looked so clear the temptation not to try was irresistable...so I start taking pot-shots...anyway...he must of been ****ed...cause I saw him looking all around and he couldn't figure out who was shooting at him....he must of been surprised that he was killed with my G3 and not a sniper rifle....anyway...just thought I'd share...

P.S. and it's easier to fly helicopters toooo....

Yeah, You're going to "Play better" with higher fps. I would get absolutely owned with fps under 30 but anything from 50 and up I seem to have good rounds.

Yes, bad FPS/Lag, kill when you're not sniper in a really good hiding spot, or not close to the heat of battle. I don't get lag except in the first 30 seconds or so that i join the server, which in my experience happens to everyone.

I'm surprised you get lag and the start of a round. Once I upgraded to 1gb of ram, I had no lag.

This is the truth. If you drop a frame, you will shoot where you think someone is, versus where they actually are.

Can I get better FPS with a GF 6800 GT 256 Pci-E, than with a radeon X800XT 256 PCI-E?

All things being equal the X800XL is comperable to the 6800GT and the X800XT is closer to the 6800Ultra. So I'd say, no, you'll get better fps with the X800XT. If you want to compare Nvidia and ATI I'd compare the X800XT to the Ultra then shop for the better price. What cards are you looking into? I do my best to provide unbiased opinions and yes I do use the X800XL. It'll run the same as the 6800gt until you get above 1280x1024 w/AA on then the XL edges ahead.

I don't think you'll notice a difference....buy the cheaper one.

Yah, the X800XT is comperable to the 6800 Ultra. My X850XT PE is the primary reason Nvidia released the 78xx series so fast.
