Ok, stop the flaming. BF 2 does care about your CPU, but not much, as long as you got an intel goin at 2.8ghz or a 2800+ athlon, the maximum difference FOR BF2 is going to be 5 fps. Other games use the CPU more, BF2 basically all depends on a sufficient processor, lots of ram, and a great vid card, note i said sufficient for processor, and great for vid card. Anyways, i could run my old 2.4ghz P4 processor and still hit high with my rig. Maybe you could only hit high with your new rig because the 2700+ was in an older rig with a vid card like a 9800Pro.
