Mic not working

Hello I've done asearch and can't find anything related to my problem.

My mic doesn't work in BF2, all the game setting are correct but when i click the test mic buttin on the options screen nothing happens.

When i plug my mic into my computer I'm asked what device i'm inputting and told which hole I should put it in.

This is annoying me any suggestions?

Make sure everything is pluged into the right slots, make sure mic is on, try it during a game and see if a green soundwave thing comes on screen below compass, join squad and see if they can hear you, if they can barely hear you use the boost mic option

Double check to make sure the mic isn't muted in Windows. And also check that it is recognized by Windows (test it in another program, such as TeamSpeak, etc).

Like they said: make sure everything is in the right spot. The jack for the microphone input is usualy pink. Another thing you can do is see if the mic works out of the game. you can do this by changing settings in your sound options. I will explain this further if you have problems.
