Yep, my SB Live Value and SB Live 24 Bit both have problems when set to hardware mode. Choppy radio messages. It's nothing to do with onboard sound being enabled or anything like that.

Pancakes, I'm about to start gaming for the night so I'll try the dxdiag thing right now and let you all know how it goes.

I just got my SB Live 24bit External today and it sounds fantastic when BF2 is set too Hardware...

Will the BF2 1.3 patch address this issue??? if so, when will the patch be due...

Any other fixes? I've tried the above meantioned DX slide the sound bar but i might as well just set BF2 to Software... (and now i've heard the diffrence between hardware and software I don't want to go back to software)

im not sure. seems like everyones problems are not related.... the guy that started this thread fixed it by switching to software. so other than that i cant help you. sorry...

yer, switching to software will fix it but Hardware sound is sooooooo much better... its only the radio commands that stutter. Can they be turned off?? (ie no sound, only text on the screen)

I really hope this is fixed in 1.3 patch - i think i'd cry if it isn't.
