People jumpingon the "OMG UPGRADE!" wagon are extremely annoying, please don't do it.
His system is more than capable of running the game.
Paul_16, what power suppply unit do you have? what is the wattage rating of it and the maximum amperage capacity of the +12V rail?
Is the inside of yur system clean of any dust and crud? Always clean out components at least once every 2 months since dust acts as an insulator heating up critical components which sometimes cause these crashes.
At what stage in gamepley are you crashing? Straight away? after 20 minutes?
I have an ISO-400pp and i think it runs at 12V. All my Computer inside is clean. It mostly crashes after like 20mins, but somtimes it varies from time to time
When i play bf 2 online, it works for a while and then crashes. It Crashes on Low Settings :/
My pc info is...
Amd Sempron Processro 3100+
1.80GHz. 1Gig of ram
G-card, Ati Radeon 9800 Pro.
Can anyone help me and tell me what i can do to stop it crashing.
Sounds like a memory leak problem in the game. You wouldn't be running unpatched or with the 1.1 patch would you?
By the way your GFX card is fine, even for running medium detail. Your processor is a little slow but a slow processor doesn't crash a program unless it's overclocked. If a slow processor crashes a program this should be considered 'poor program design' as the program would also be able to warn about this before crashing
I have 2.5 GHz processor and radeon 9550, 1 gig of ram and it runs med detail just fine, so don't worry about that

Definetely a overheating problem. Your graphics card is overheating. If your running it on AGP8x, I suggest to change it down to AGP 4x. Don't worry the fps change shouldnt be that big but it could fix your problem.
Try this: Uninstall all the Bf2 crap off the computer. Now when thats done, clean your comp really good w/ Ad-Aware/Spy-Bot, etc. Go to hardware profiles and update all your drivers. Make sure theres no conflicts any where. Defrag your comp. Now reinstall Bf2 and you should be good, if no problems w/ hardware or overheating, etc.
It happenened to me, i did this and everything is cool. This should take you no more than an hour.

I think this is the cause of my trouble too.
I have a very similar problem Paul. Is your screen freezing for about 10secs and then your PC is rebooting?
