Worth the $340?

I currently am running an ATI Radeon Mobility 9700 128mb graphics card. I was debating on upgrading tot he 9800 card. Reviews show that the 9800 gets a score of nearly 3000, where the 9700 gets only 1700 roughly. Would this upgrade be noticable, and more importantly, worth the $340?

The reason the 9800 costs so much is because it's tiny, and made for a laptop. Plus, the 6800GT isn't made for the laptop =(. I'm guessing that the price will continue to drop, I might just wait, but I'm still debating if the upgrade would be worth it.

Gorro, you wont see much improvment from a 9700 to 9800.

Try for a 6800 ultra GO, how much are they?

Oh, I never even thought of Nvidia for mobile cards...I need to look into that.

EDIT: Ok, so we're now comparing these 2 mobile AGP cards.

I would definatly go for the 6800 ultra GO.

I saw some benchmarks on ANANDTECH and it performed a little better on a desktop pc 6800GT.

Do not get the 9800 series as that is outdated technology. Search for an AGP version of the Go series 6600 or 6800 series cards. Or if you can find it the X800 Mobility, but I do not think they are out yet.

is there such a thing as an AGP version of the GO 6800? Or even an AGP X800 Mobile? If so, I'd jump all over that.
