Your opinion of heat sink fan combo

Does anyone have experience with this heat sink/fan combo? I am looking to overclock and wondering if you think this is a good product.

I've heard its very load. Check out the Zalman CUxxxx series of "flower" style fans, they are even better.

I ended up going with a panaflo since thats what thermalright recommended:

choose that one cause it was 56.8 CFM at only 35db. good fan, but after I got it I noticed It doesnt have the sensor lead to report speed to the mobo, so I coudnt use my mobo's auto fan speed control. not really a big problem since I like max cooling all the time. I'm still not totally sold on 'sleeve' bearing fans, but panaflo's have a good rap. Normally I use antec double ball bearing fans.

I just read about the coolermaster hyper 6+ which is similar to the xp-90 but is vertical and you can mount 2 fans on it! although the xp-90 and 90c fit just about every mobo/case with no problems.

Just choose a reputable fan with high cfm / low db.

You should be able to find a high CFM then that on a 90mm fan. Who cares about DB, when you're gaming you will barely notice it. Trust me.

True, does AMD not have fan control? I thought they did. Cool'n'Quiet? It should slow the fan down so the dBs aren't as high.

Yes AMD does have fan control, but it doesn't help much. Cool & quiet underclocks the processor when it's not being used heavilyand is disables by default when you overclock.

Yeah don't use Cool n Quiet. If you're mobo can fit it, get the XP-120. XP-120 with any 120mm fan will be enough for you for overclocking your cpu as much as you can on air.

XP-120 is no better than the XP-90.
