    How to get X-Fi working in Ultra High Settings in BF2

    Installed X-Fi
    Install the website drivers for X-Fi
    Enabled Creative Audio Launcher "Game Mode" for X-Fi
    Started BF2, Audio settings, selected Creative X-Fi then High. Hit the apply button then exited BF2.
    Deleted C:\...\My Documents\Battlefield2\mods\bf2\cache\{D78B71EE3-0834-22CK-178A-1823A1F2CIKL32}_245487_4
    Restarted BF2 entered Audio then selected Ultra High (it's no longer Red)

      Um, this belongs in the Hardware section, not tips and tricks, Hardware is under Client Support.

        Everything I have read from review sites and things like that say the X-fi is absolutely worth it.

        As for this suggest, yes, because BF2, has a cache for that and video settings. So everytime you change a video, or sound setting, you should really go in to the C:/Program Files/EA Games/Battlefield 2/mods/bf2/ and clear out any folder thats look like this {XXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXX-XXX}
