thats usless and crazy what do u need 1000 watts for. u can power as much acessiories u can get for a PC and still have left over.

Haha I love this....

In fact, other than rocking up a huge electricity bill, it’s hard to see how you’re ever going to need 1000W inside your machine. Unless you’re a modding freak with five SATA drives, loads of lighting, fans and a pair of 7800s inside your machine with a kettle, electric fire and table saw attached to the USB you have to wonder why you'd need a 1000W PSU… but of course, you could just be future proofing, or compensating for something…

Anyway, 1KW is just pointless, a good 550-600W Antec is more than enough for todays systems, even SLI.

Nothing will really require even 500 bare absolute mininum watts unless you are doing some hardcore OC and you got a ton of stuff (5+ harddrives, OCed FX cpu, watercoolign, etc etc)...

2 Dual core processors and 7 hard drives can use up a lot of power.

Anyone who wastes money on this:

A. Has too much money in the first place, I'll provide a PayPal link where you can make a free donation.

B. Has no concept of power requirements, because if they did, a simple math equation is all that is needed to determine you MAX wattage requirements. Add A plus B plus C = total watts.

C. Wants to power a small fridge, plasma TV, PC, electric bandsaw and fourteen hard drives all off the same circuit.

all the PSU bullsh1t!!! do the math and calculate the watts by yourself! a current high End dual cpu + gpu SLI system + all the components barely takes 410WATT!

so 450W is way enough!!
