Audigy Platinum EX vs. Audigy 2 ZS

I'm looking at the above mentioned soundcards, anyone know if either one is better than the other? I"m leaning towards the Platinum just because it comes with the front panel thing. Any suggestions?

Wait for the X-Fi cards, supposed to be out this month.

X-fi will be expensive, but if you're like me, and need excellent sound quality in-game inorder to consider the game, an extremely good game, then it will be worth it.

bestbuy has xfi cards for preorder on thier site.

They dont seem to have the high end models with xram listed.

Yes, but those are not the better ones. The ones you will want is the Fatal1ty model or the Platinum Pro (I think).

I didn't ask about the xfi cards. I am aware of them and am not interested in them. Those are almost double what I will be spending on either of these.

I'm waiting on the Fatal1ty version.

Once I get that, another hard drive and two gigs of ram, this rig will be unstoppable.

I would just settle for a sound card that did what it was supposed to do ..... UNLIKE every soundblaster I have owened since my SB 32!!
My SB Live (CT4830) could not do EAX work a dam_!!
My Audigy One (SBO090) couldnt either! Though it was marginally better than the SB Live!
My Audigy 2 (SB0240) will not do VOIP AT ALL in games and EAX is still a bit creaky!!!
