It's colorful. It doesn't support SLI. I've never used they're products, nor read any reviews. Can't say much. I'll stick with my Asus boards.

Re: what you think of this new mobo?

ECS has been a leading OEM manufacturer for years and have recently moved into the retail market. One of their biggest successes was the K7S5A PRO mobo and now with the introduction of the KN1 Extreme series, they have been racking up awards left and right from the major hardware review sites.

ECS was named one of the top 3 best mobo makers by OC Workbench dot com ---> http://www.ecsusa.com/aboutUs/pr_011504.html

Most of you who know anything about hardware know about ocworkbench.com and their high reputation. Here is a snipet from that review :

"Long know as the ' king of motherboard makers,' international recognition is nothing new for ECS. For two years running, the company has earned top ranking in the Business Week IT100, an annual compilation of the world's top IT companies ranked by their performance over the previous 12 months. For 2003, ECS ranked among the world's top 50 IT companies, one of the top 12 firms in Business Week's computer and peripherals category."

It's sad that not alot of folks know about ECS as they are one of the best in the business, period.

Judging by the awards and "accolades" on their site it looks like ECS produces a stable economy line that's geared toward budget users. It's probably a very stable and well built board, but I wouldn't expect it to blow you away.

Actualy, I couldn't of said it better myself. If you want a no frills and no hassle mobo that gets the job done, ECS is your manufacturer of choice.

                      Hehe

If I could of built a whole system with just MSI components, believe me I would have. Unfortunately they don't make hard drives, memory or power supplys. :hmm:
