Well, when crossfire comes out, i could just buy like a R520 to go with my
X800XL, since you can use two different cards for crossfire. I just need a new mobo, and a new card. Crossfire pwns SLi, nuff said.

lol to bad you cant use a r520 with it dummy you can only use the 850 crossfire edition and 800 crossfire edition cards and you need a special mobo not saying you dont for sli, but you wont be using a 800xl with a r520 casue it would slow the card down the casue the 800 would be shit compared ot it.

Fan boy? Actually Crossfire is/will be a much more compatible product with current and future games. Not to mention I don't have to spend a boat load of money on 2 video cards everytime I upgrade. Unless I change chips. All 800's use same crossfire card, and all 850's use the same. I go from 850pro to 850 xt pe in Crossfire and I only buy one card.

if you want to wait for crossfire to be available then be my guest. Nvidia will have their 8 series GPU lineup out by the time ATi gets it's butt in gear.

And how do you know Crossfire is that much better than Sli, got any benchmarks to back up your statements?

Ya for $350.

I'd rather have a 7800 GTX for $200 cheaper then dual 6800 GT.

SLI isnt intended for gamers(not money smart), its for people who render graphics and all that stuff.

ok,
1. im not a fanboy i have a 9800pro i used to ...
2. that graph makes zero ****ing sense go die
3. to do crossfire you will need
A. a normal ati 800, or 850
B. a crossfire motherboard
C. a more expensive card from ati wich is crossfire capable you dont just
need a regualr card form ati you need a special crossfire enabled one
wich will cost more than a normal card, and why would you want a
slower card with a fast one anyways jjust get a 7800gt the r520
doesnt seem to be that mind blowing so go for the 7800gtx.
