My PC GFZ card Runs at 71c while idle...not sure what it runs while in game.
My PC inside is full and can't fit anything in there...what can I do to help circulation and cooling?
With liquid cooling system's, don't you have to like clean them out every so often etc?
I may aswell wait till I get a faster CPU for that as I only have a 2.26Ghz! :)
71 isn't that bad for a GPU, it is bad for a CPU, big difference there. You can replace the ribbon cables with round versions. You can also remove and PCI devices you don't use or need. Adding fans helps also. Just a few quick thoughts.
The first thing I would do is go into your BIOS and check the systems temperatures. You may have nothing to worry about. Post those temps here and we can take a look at them. You can also follow this link and download speedfan, it's a program that will monitor you system temps in windows. http://www.almico.com/sfdownload.php
I went in to the BIOS last night (Pressing F2 while PC starts up)
It didn't have a Temp on there for the system!
Look's like I will have to download from your link. Thx.
To make my system temp go down, I took out my old ribbon cables and put in some nice new round ones. I also tied up all of the cables...so now they all run down the right side of the CPU neatly. I have 4 case fans and I will soon be getting a new heatsink+fan for my CPU. You could try getting some kind of GPU cooler for your card
materials
copper wire (dumster diving, buy etc
the cpu base plate u already have
old printer
soldering iron
solder
baseball bat
wire cutters
1. the fun part. take the base ball bat and proceed to beat the bananas out of your old printer
2. take out the large metal rod or rods that are inside it
3 wrap the wire into a coil around the rod
4 slide it out and cut it into loops
5 soder the loops onto ur old cpu cooler with a little space between each loop
6. test the over clock
I put a fan under my card to suck the hot air from the card and fixed my cables. (look at my rig pic) If your case is to small to fit anything inside then buy a new one.
