I definetely agree with everything here.... my PC specs are in my sig, and they match up to exactly what you'd recommend.

    Sticky this, mods!

          Sad but true.

That's why I run the Smartclose program, and have tons of tweaks going.... at least I get an average of around 50 FPS... it's still smooth as butter.

I guess the sad thing is that I have a 512mb stick of PC3200 RAM, and another 512mb stick of PC2700 RAM, so that ONE stick is bogging me down... if only I can find another cheap stick of PC3200 512mb RAM to go with it!

Ah, seriously though..... even though my RAM is bogging me down, I run the game on 1280x1024, all high but textures and shadows, and with 2x AA. It runs pretty damned good considering my RAM and CPU aren't the greatest.

Very accurate and helpful. Hopefully people will use the search button and view this before asking. "Will mine run?"

Faster ram wouldn't help, his FSB is still only 333mhz (PC2700). It would only matter if he overclocked or got a processor that used a 400mhz FSB.

Re: Will My PC play BF2? Answer

I know little of AMD procs, so if you could suggest settings for both those chips, that would be great.

Of course, you can see where the chips would fall in, and deduce the best settings.

Too bad no sticky for this post.

Yes, it will give you medium with a 2ghz XP and 1gb of ram. A higher cpu and more ram and you could probably get high settings.
