Sounds decent, but I'm about sick of seeing "Fatal1ty" on everything that has to do with hardware.

Motherboards.... video cards... and now sound cards?

Neh... im not getting it I don't want sum 1 else enjoying great sound from my computer and me getting my ass kicked at boot camp. I'm just gona overclock my Audigy 2 zs

Call it what you want, but some of the technology behind the card is revolutionary.

It's amazing actualy, no matter what creative would have done there would be someone ready to crush their nuts with a sledgehammer.

People flame creative for releasing cards with minor improvements and no major innovations. (I'm one of them)

When creative finaly releases a product that takes a substantial leap over every prior sound card they still get flamed.

Technologies such as xram and purepath are a huge step in the right direction.

Haha, wow, anyone who thinks this won't do anything is pretty dumb. The card essentially has a 3.0Ghz processor on it, dedicated to nothing but sound. Granted they are a bit expensive, but any new technology generally is.

Of course the higher-end cards will have better performance. Its like a SB!Live card versus and Audigy2 ZS card.

This post has Fanboi writtin all over it, but no offense to those who are.

We can look at this like any "early adopter" product release and laugh at the saps who run out and spend $400 on the card and another $400 on speaks just to get a few spiffy ambient effects and an unnoticeable differentiation in SQ. So to make a long story short, Creative is going to make a huge profit on the few impatient rich-boys who want this right now, much like the new 7800GTX@$600, and the rest of us economically limited hardcore gamers will have to....gasp.....wait 6-12 months for the same technology at less than half the price.

Knowing myself, I'll buy this when it hits about $200 in 2006. Then I'll sell my "old" Audigy 2 Platinum to some poor guy with a Dell.
