    If you have a 256mb video card from ATI, do not use Catalyst 5.7.

    You should use 5.6 because catalyst 5.7 is designed for lower end cards that have 64mb and 128mb of ram. And yes, those lower end cards will see performance gains due to Hypermemory.

    And remember to use Driver Cleaner anytime you change drivers.

      Yes.

      That's what im using. When i tried 5.7 i would get funny textures.

        5.7 only seems to be providing benefits to those with lower end cards it seems.

          And that's correct. Lower end cards benefit from the hypermemory that's included in the new drivers. It's all in that link i provided above.

            When i had an ATi X850 XT i used 5.7's and never had any problems with it. I own 2 7800's right now and still have my x850 for backup if i need it.
