    PC Starts up slow.

    Hey,

I have a question. When I format my pc it loads like uber fast. Like 15 secs or so. But when I install my sound card drivers ( Soundblaster audigy 2 ) it just sucks ! like 40+ secs. Ive downloaded Microsoft Bootvis and I see there is some prefetching going on, i done some research and i saw that it loads stuff in your RAM. If i turn this off, will my pc still run smoothly? If so, how do i turn this off?

    Btw here my bootvis screenie:

    Try defragmenting and scan disk.

lol defrag, that won't do crap.

Soundblaster drivers and software are notoriously poorly made.

        Go Start>Run>msconfig

Then go to the startup tab, and if you see anything by creative there, uncheck it and press ok.

            Do not use msconfig!

Go to Start>run and type "services.msc" and then end unnecessary tasks from there.
If you do not know what to end then this guide will help you:
