and nice card im thinking of gettin one myself
      No it ****in wont dude, a 7800GTX with a AMD 64 3000+ gets .2 fps lower than a FX-57

SATA HD is a must. I dont think you should go that high on AMD. I got a Athlon 64 3000+ socket 939 and the game runs beautifully. For gaming, its really, TRULEY, your graphic card and RAM. You could run BF2 with the best graphic card and ram, and only 1 ghz Intel.

I totally agree, get the 3000+,theres no way that will bottleneck your vid card -_- Unless you are a benching 3dmark whore, you won't have any big improvement with the 3500/3800+ in gaming.

Don't upgrade for future, upgarde for NOW. When the games will benefit from a high cpu, something new, better and cheaper will be out, for now... a 3000+ venice is perfect. Actuall games are more video/ram sensitive than cpu.

Just look at the link I posted if you are worrying about bottlenecks. On some other games, a processor will make a 20+ fps difference, but look at bf2. It doesn't give a **** about your processor.

well a 3200 running at 2.5ghz isnt much of a bottleneck so have fun and get a venice 3000 or 3200

                      Heya guys,
                      Just a update over here:
I bought the AMD 3500+ Venice(didn't see the comments about bottlenecks but now its too late)
1GB Corsair Memory PC3200C2 ( i ordered the 2 gb set and then i can switch the 1 gb set for the 2gb one)

I got a Maxtor Diamondmax 10 SATA 250 GB Hard drive
See the beginning of the thread for mobo and gfx.
THE GAME RUNS like a dream on 80 FPS Average and thats on EVERYTHING on High AA on 8X 1600X1200 Resoution.
Only problem i have is sometimes i get ''There is a problem with you're connection error'' but nothing special further
In a couple of minutes i will post my 3D Mark 2005 scores.
                      -Thanks for the advices guys!

                      EDIT: 7125 3D Marks!
