What Benchmark would be the best to compare how equipment will run BF2. For example should I look at UT scores, NFS2, Doom3...etc. I know 3DMark05 scores are a bit suspect. I'm just wondering as I'm looking for a new processor and I"m having a hard time deciding between a 3800 or 4000, or waiting a bit and getting the X2 4400. Thanks.

Well, given the prevalence of BF2 in the gaming community, almost every Hardware review site on the web is now using BF2 benchmarks when testing new hardware. This is obviously the best way to see what works, just keep in mind the specs of the test system they are using, since they usually vary from review to review. Toms Hardware, XBit Labs, Anandtech, etc. all have good reviews for most modern PC components and have many benchmarks cited for BF2.
Oh yeah, and if this is strictly a gaming rig, get the 4000+ single core, but if you are using it as an all-around PC for DVD, Music, Filesharing, etc, stick with the dual-core, it'll give you more bang for your buck.
