Hey there, welcome to TotalBF2! Well one tip is just to practice often, the more you practice the better you get. Also, you may want to practice in single player first before you move to multiplayer so you can get the hang of everything.

Do a quick search of these forums for "Medic tips" - I'm assuming from your avatar you like the medic class.

Same goes for the other kits - there's plenty of great info around here on how to best exploit your equipment.

Take a look through the "General->Tips and Tricks" section for some generic tips.

However if you really care about the badges, ribbons and medals, check out the exact requirements for each badge, and go out and aim to get a few. The "basic combat" badges usually just require ten kills for example (and you can get these while in a tank!). While the bling-bling is nice, just remember that score means jack, except for those unlocked guns.

Cheer sfor the welcome starting to get the hang of the game now.

And yes I do generally play as Medic had my first decent round in the Chinese jungle not sure of exact name where I got Basic Medic Combat Badge, Basic First Aid Badge and a Bronze Star in one round.
