    New Ati Radeon X800 Xl 256mb Gddr3 Agp8x Card

I am this close to buying this card for my rig, replacing my "not so stylin'" GeForce FX5500 (Low settings.) My biggest fear is that I won't be able to run on high. Can someone offer some advice on whether I should drop $247 USD (ebay) on this:

NEW ATI RADEON X800 XL 256MB GDDR3 AGP8X GRAPHICS CARD

    My specs are:
    ABit Mobo
    AMD Athlon 64 3400MHz cpu
    1G RAM
    DVD

    Thank you TotalBF2!!

I wouldnt buy from EBay. Reason being i dont trust Ebay. I bought my X850 XT from circuit city. Of course i had to drive 60 miles since only 1 store had it within a 200 mile radius. I seen the same card on www.circuitcity.com for $249. Your best off buying it from there or newegg.com. I dont see why someone would sell a new X800 XL. Theres more to the story then we know. Its on page 2 of computers and acc.

The game should run on high with that card and your specs.
Ebay is ok, remember to check the sellers feedback before the purchase to make sure other people have been happy!

Woopsie! His rating is 99.2% and he has over a hundred replies, so he seems pretty good. I haven't ever really used ebay, but I wonder if you can back-out of a bid after bidding closes? Thanks for the speedy reply TBF2

I think once the auction has ended if you are the winning bidder or have used the 'buy it now' button then you have to complete the transaction...

There may be a way out of buying it though, perhaps someone else might know??

To answer your question. Yes the X800XL is a very capable card, and will run BF2 on High. The problem is will the rest of your computer? The card is capable. Oops, sorry, I should've read your post in more detail. You'll be good to go with the X800XL and those specs. I highly recommend the 2 gig upgrade for your memory, but this is still under debate.
