There are going to be a number of different versions of VISTA and each will have its own set of features. A friend of mine was telling me that there is going to be an "Ultimate" version out that may cost close to $499.
I haven't confirmed any of this myself, just passing the word along so please take the above with a grain of salt.
I thought the game wouldn't be supported what so ever due to the fact that Windows Vista is based on a whole new DirectX built from the ground up. An article I read suggests there will NO compatibility with previous DirectX versions. They want to set a new line of graphics which will mean you need a new graphics cards that will support the future DirectX release. No card at the moment is able to do that. The game probably will work n Vista but will look and play crap.
i dont want to spoil it for some ppl, we all know microshaft is the EA of operating systems but dont forget that only vista will support Directx10 and after vista comes out alot of directx10 games will come out aswell. not to speak of 64Bit but thats another story and it will be later.
Just to clarify one point thats been brought up, Vista will indeed impliment DX10 and you will need DX10 graphics cards to get all the fancy bells and whistles but it will still run DX9, the same way XP can run DX8 stuff as so on and so forth...
Microsoft know how much everyone hates them and a lot of people do but do you really think they would alienate their entire user base just to role out a new version of DX?!
They havent made all that money by being that stupid in the past and i doubt they will this time either...
And just in case anyone actually wants to read up on what's going to happen check out www.gamespot.com, they had a great series of articles on Vista and what it will mean to gaming. It's well worth a read and might dispell a few illusions that people seem to have about Vista.

If DX10 will only be available on Vista I doubt any DX10-only games will come out for quite a while. No way game vendors are going to lock themselves out of the majority of the market.
