yeah i know i did have it on 4 x and changing to 2x improved it a lot but im not turning it off because i run a 19" tft thats native res is 1280x1024 so to run bf2 at 800x600 i HAVEto have at least some AA otherwise it looks so bad its unplayable.

      When i started playing BF2 my rig was an AMD1.67ghz - FX5200 - 2x512mb pc2100

I really used to think i was lucky i could play it at all.

Then i got my new set up, and lifes totally different.

I've upgraded my video card twice since my old fx 5200, to a 6800 and then a 7800 gtx.

My 6800 didn't even run everything in BF2 on medium, I got constant drops to 15 fps which was unplayable.

If I were you I'd upgrade everything.

Do you think i could still be able to play it? i also have a gig of ram.

I need to know if i can still keep my system without upgrading for a year, (maybe 2). Does anyone know what video cards will support new games?
well i would save your money up from buying games and buy a video card which you can play new games on. I know this might not be a logical scenario for you, but its better for you in the long run.

I run everything on low @ 1024x768 and textures on medium view distance full. I like it.
