what the heck? 6800 performance

Are the leaked beta's any good? All I wanna know is which drivers will give me best performance?

i just tried the drivers and I got like shadow problems

I haven't had any probs with mine.....in fact it fixed a few stutters for me. Same with a couple of my mates who have similar rigs......as you do! lol

Yea.... the driver cleanup didn't help much. I need to do something right...

Edit: Did it again. Followed instrucions and everything. Didn't really help. Not sure why

Well, i have a X800XL (equivelent to 6800GT from ATi)and for some reason i have better fps than you with 1280x960 with high and 6xaa. so i have no idea. Maybe the patches, i'm in vacation in china right now, so i havn't tried the 1.02 patch, but i know the 1.01 was horrible, it got so much lag for me, i uninstalled (actually reinstalled BF2) it and i got wonderful fps and no lag, from what i hear all the 1.02 did was fix the mem leak, so i dunno if that was causing the problems. Does anybody still run BF2 with 1.00, i still do since i'm in china.

reformat and get your chipset drivers and gpu drivers and sound or whatever and then install bf2 might help sorry if the drivercleaner didnt work it worked wonders for me.

Shouldn't be. BF2 is HEAVILY dependant on GPU. IDK why it sucks so much in optimization though.

I have a "vanilla" 6800, lol, and sounds like its runnign better than some of the higher ones. I run everything at max except lighting which is on medium. All of my shadows are highly detailed. I get 100 fps with 16 bots and 60 fps with 50 bots. Its incredible, what i did was install the nVidia updates that came with battlefield 2. Accessing from the bf2 splash screen i installed the update, then pressed continue anyway when it said it did not have windows compatability. Thats what i did. Check out the screens
