Help me choose a geforce plz!!!!

Hi

I have 3 choices of cards and i know there different speeds but the prices are very different so i dont know what to choose:

BFG Geforce 6800 GT OC 256MB DDR PCI-E TV-Out Dual
Price: £258.49 inc VAT

BFG Geforce 6800 Ultra OC 256MB DDR PCI-E TV-Out D
Price: £336.04 inc VAT

INNO3D 7800GTX
Price: £349.99 inc VAT

Ok this is my problem the 7800GTx is £10 more than the ultra, is it worth it?

And the ive heard you can OC a 6800 Gt to ultra speed. so I have come to the conclusion i will not buy the 6800 ultra so what should i get the 7800GTX or the 6800GT?

Which of the those is worth buying as i intend to spend as little as possible on a good card?

ok, this is very straightforward, the GT or the 7800GTX. THe GT has a sig lower price, so that is great if you don't have much money, for only 10 pounds more than a ultra, you get a 7800GTX, a single 7800GTX has outperformed the ultra in SLI (not always, but sometimes) So that is clearly better, plus it has 50%more pipelines than the 6800Ultra, and higher clock speeds. and the ATi alternative if you would accept it, a X800XL, X800XT, or X850XT (can be plat edition or not, up to you for both of them). Or just wait for the new ATi cards to come out, they are supposed to have 32 pipelines, which is double the pipelines of the Ultra, so for nVidia, 6800GT on budget, or 7800GTX if you have the money.

cool, i like nvidia they always seem to perform better than ATI, and looking at figures one single 7800GTX will outperform 2 in SLI :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :cry:

I really don't understand why people ask a question like this. If you CAN afford the 7800 and are even THINKING of buying it, why the hell would you decide between a 6800 GT or 7800? OBVIOUSLY the 7800.

no the new ati cards arnt going to have 32 pipelines infact they might hhave 16 we dont know but i do know they wont have 32.

I dunno, there's all these rumors, i first heard that they might have up to 48 pipelines, but then, it came to 32, and now i dunno at all. But that's what happens when you go too big, i'm guessing that's why ATi delayed the date of release, it went from July to August, which means people should already have the new R520 card, but i dunno.
